Our Benefit Reception consisted of both guest speakers and a gift presentation to Marissa.

touched briefly on what Rolling
Thunder has been able to
accomplish and what we as an
organization continue to strive
for.  It was an honor for New
York 5 to have him attend and
participate.  Thank You.

with a Life Time Membership.

Veterans presented gifts donated by
Richard Patton to both Marissa and to
The Wounded Warrior Project in the
memory of his brother
Walter Lee Patton.  
The motorized chair was donated to Marissa and the
vehicle lift was donated to The Wounded Warrior Project
in the memory of Walter Lee Patton (pictured above),
a US Naval Disabled Vietnam Veteran.

Experience her courage
Marissa, a Lansingburg High School graduate and PFC in the Army was severely
wounded in a Thanksgiving Day 2005 attack, which left both Ssgt. Steven
Reynolds and Spec. Marc Delgado dead.  All were assigned to the 170th. MP Co.
out of Fort Lewis, Wa., deployed to Iraq in May of 2005.  Marissa now a double
amputee, is recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Mike, Ronnie, Ginny, Lee, Dominique, Ron,
Anthony and Suzi attended the Benefit
Ride for Marrissa Strock on Saturday June
24th.  It was nice to meet Marissa and an
honor to participate.  She is such a brave
young woman and we all wish her the best.
